Principal’s Corner
Welcome to South Haven High School. This is my 20th year in education, I have been a Teacher, Dean, Assistant Principal, and now a Principal. I am proud of South Haven High School’s strong tradition and commitment to their students, parents, and community. I am excited to live in a community centered school, where my family work, live, and attend school. I am committed to our SHPS Mission, Vision, Core Values, and Beliefs. I look forward to continuing that tradition and learning alongside our phenomenal staff of educators.
We are committed to continuous improvement and have the following focus areas regarding our school improvement plan; increasing proficiency in Math, English, Science, and Social Studies in regards to standardized testing. Also, we are committed to promoting a caring climate for our school community, increasing communication with stakeholders, and developing student achievement opportunity.
We are very proud of the opportunities our students are provided and take advantage of that relate to our Vision and Mission, such as; Votec Center, LMC Dual Enrollment, AP Classes, Honors Classes, School to Work, Clubs (28), Athletics (24), Electives (30), Middle College, Career Development, etc… I truly believe there is something at South Haven High School for every student, check out our Curriculum Guide 2019-2020 regarding our class offerings.
Our school and community prides itself on our diversity and we believe it sets us apart and is one of our biggest assets relating to our Vision and Mission. If you are new to our RAM family, let me be the first to welcome you! We know that you will bring unique strengths, talents, and interests. We believe we offer an education and services that are second to none in SW Michigan and that South Haven Public Schools is THE district of choice.
I am excited to be a part of the RAM family and I ask that students get involved and stay engaged with us as we continue to educate, and in partnership with our families, help grow our fine young people to be Responsible, Accountable, and Motivated.
