Calling All Students!

JOIN CHOIR!!

Hey you! Do you like to sing? Do you like to make lasting memories with friends? You should join choir! You can join either Treble Chorus (soprano and alto singers, especially freshmen) or Choir! (Soprano, Alto and Tenor/Bass singers). You can be a person who has done choir before but maybe took a year off, or someone who has never done choir in your life, but think it sounds like fun! We'd love to have you join us and sing your heart out! .

Join Theatre!

Are you interested in being a part of the SHDA theatrical family next school year? Check your email for an interest survey. Responding 'yes' does not obligate you to participate, but will greatly help the directors to choose next year's productions!

Sophomores & Juniors

Peer to Peer is NOW accepting applications for the 2021-2022 school year!

Do you like to meet new people? Are you a person who wants to help others be included? Would you be a great role model? Are you a change agent? If you answered "yes" to these questions, the Peer to Peer program would like to talk with you! Peer to Peer is an elective class that you apply for. Once accepted, it can fit into just about any schedule, and it is an awesome opportunity to build your leadership skills while allowing you an opportunity to help others and make new friends. Students selected for this program will be enrolled in Peer to Peer/L.I.N.K.S exploratory and will receive credit and a grade for successfully completing the course. Students enrolled will provide supervised assistance to students with disabilities in the special and general education classrooms. Peer assistants/L.I.N.K.S will assist students during both instructional and non-instructional activities. Students enrolled in the course will learn about students with disabilities, how to provide help to them, and why confidentiality is important. The purpose of the program is to have peers helping students with learning differences within the classroom to gain skills in socialization, independence, and motivation in order to be successful in high school. If you are interested in learning more about P2P or selecting this as an elective next year, please email Mrs. Fedewa [email protected]
